OUR COMMITMENT

We want every pet-care provider and every pet owner to be able to use PetAppro — including people who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, magnification, or other assistive technology. This isn't a compliance checkbox for us. Excluding people isn't who we are.

WHAT WE'RE BUILDING TOWARD

We are building PetAppro — the app, the provider portal, and our websites — to meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA. We say "building toward" deliberately: we won't claim we conform to a standard until we've actually tested against it.

In practice, that means we design and build for:

  • Text and interface contrast that meets AA minimums — in every theme, in both light and dark modes
  • Full keyboard reachability and operability, with a visible focus indicator
  • Meaningful labels for screen readers, and alternative text for images
  • Touch targets large enough to hit comfortably
  • Never relying on color alone to convey meaning
  • Text that can be resized without breaking the layout

HOW WE CHECK IT

Our approach as we build: automated accessibility checks in our build pipeline, contrast verified across every theme × light/dark as part of the design system, and manual keyboard + screen-reader passes on the core flows. Once we've completed a full evaluation (and any third-party audit), we'll say so here and name the date.

WHERE WE KNOW WE FALL SHORT

As we test, we'll list known gaps here honestly — a real accessibility statement names what doesn't work yet. We'd rather tell you than pretend everything works. (This section is updated as testing surfaces issues.)

TELL US WHEN WE GET IT WRONG

If you hit a barrier in PetAppro, please tell us — we'd rather hear it from you than not know.

support@base509.com — tell us what you were trying to do, where, and what assistive technology you use, if any. We'll respond and tell you what we're doing about it. If a barrier stops you from doing something, we'll find another way to help you get it done while we fix the underlying issue.
